This is a “New to Us” seafood establishment. They are a favorite for the Walkertown area. I have been there a few times and the food and service were great. Hoping that with it being March, the weather will be in our favor for a drive afterwards. Plenty of roads to choose from and they all lead to ice cream!

And I know you all are wandering how much money we raised this year for the Autism Society of Surrey County. Well, you just have to come to the lunch to get all these answers! This is such a great park in the Triad area. It might be a bit of a drive for a few of us, so make a day of it! We have the spot for most of the day. We will be under Shelter 11. Go to the website and look at map or download it, to find directions. Bring a camping chair just in case there aren’t any more seats at the picnic tables. There are a ton of trees out there, so no worry about sitting in hot sun. Also, there are a variety of activities to do at this park. Miniature Golf, fishing and paddle boats to name a few.

There will not be a drive following the lunch. There are some backroads I’m sure you can find, for your drive home.

Saturday June 8, 2024, 11:30am: Lancaster’s BBQ, 515 Rinehardt Rd, Mooresville, NC 28115 11:30 am, we will be seated. This time adjustment is at the request of restaurant. They will be seating us upstairs. Just letting you all know; in case you have issues with steps.

As always, weather permitting, we will be driving back to Bermuda Run for some great ice cream, on the back roads, of course! The venue is large, has plenty of seating and all kinds of ways to enjoy this cold treat.

For new folks that have never met us, come join us! We are a “Try before you buy” kinda club. ;-) Meet us, drive with us and then decide if you want to be a part of our Miata Gang. The fee to join is only $20 per car, per year.

We have started the planning of our Fall Event, Miatas at the Back of the Dragon, Season 8! Stay tune for more info as it develops. The dates are set for October 10-13, 2024. Mark your calendars now!

Come join us for lunch and a drive afterwards to Danbury, if the sun is out, or even if hiding behind the clouds. May’s meeting will be more a social event, then a meeting.

April is going to be here soon! We will be meeting in King, at our favorite Italian spot, Little Italy, 612 S Main St, King, NC. What will we be discussing? Come and find out! ;-) If you have never been to one of our lunches, then join us! We would love to meet you! The food is great & the service is spot on! Which is why we keep coming back. Weather permitting, there will be a ride afterwards, so save room for ice cream. Until then, get them cars out and drop the tops, the sun is shining, and the temps are rising! See you all soon!!

This meeting has been canceled due to rain. We usually do not cancel meetings, however, this location was at least an hour drive or more, for most of our members. Safety first!

We will be meeting at 12 noon. Of course, arrive a little earlier to do some warm chatter and talk about our cars! This is year 8 for the club and the annual fee is due. $20 per car. This helps cover the cost of the website and other items.

I am hoping to have some information regarding our Spring Drive as well. The location and dates are being determined.

For our last Lunch/Meeting of the year we are doing something different. We will be meeting at a Club Members home and having a Covered Dish meal. We will be playing the Dirty Santa game with a wrapped gift of $20, and possibly some other Christmas games since we won’t be at a restaurant and pushed for time. We will be awarding the proceeds from our fundraising event of Miatas at the Back of the Dragon. Brooke Golding is the representative from the Surry County Autism Society and will be joining us for this exciting moment.

We will be meeting at Sixty Six Grill and Taphouse, 3440 Frontis Street, Winston-Salem, NC at 12 noon. Arrive a little early so we can meet and greet and chat about our time in Wythville, VA.

Bring your favorite packed lunch and a chair. There are tables however they are spaced far apart and concrete. OUCH! We will be happy with the change of pace for this meeting and stoked with stories of our adventure in Franklin from the weekend before.

I am planning a drive afterwards to Danbury for some ice cream weather permitting. It will take about an hour to get there, and we will be going via Squirrel Spur Road! Whew Hoo!

Saturday, May 13, we will be meeting in Winston-Salem at Sixty-Six Grill and Taphouse. A most wonderful salad bar, great service and the food is always tasty!

I told them 20-25 people. For some reason they keep wanting to charge ($200) us for this room. I explained we ALWAYS show up with the Miatas! Then she remembered us!

As of now, there will not be a ride planned. Don’t let this keep you from showing up for food and friendship.

The March meeting will be held at Mi Pueblo, in Clemmons next month on the 2nd Saturday, which is the 11th. Rick will be leading us on a ride after we feast on chips and salsa! I’m sure there will be more information for our Spring Drive in June. We haven’t seen all our members yet, with holidays and other unforeseen life circumstances, so make a point to come see us! Perhaps we will have our new logo on the business cards, stickers or car magnets by then! Warmer weather is coming, stay tuned to Facebook for impromptu rides. Keep on Zooming!!

Our monthly meeting will be held in King, NC. Little Italy Pizza & Restaurant at 612 S. Main Street, King. 12 noon until 2pm. We are collecting our yearly dues of $20 p/car. If this is your first time coming to visit us as a club, you do not need to pay. Get to know us, go on a ride with us, then come and join us! Hopefully the sun will be shining, and we can update members and their cars as well as go for a top down ride after lunch!

Tuesday, December 20th 6:30 pm we will meet at the Food Lion Shopping center at 1107 E Lexington Ave, High Point, NC. At 6:45pm we will proceed to drive over to the High Point University to drive thru the campus and enjoy the Christmas Lights. This is a nice short (maybe 20-30 min depending on traffic) drive. We had a great turn out last year, and appreciate Lorie Leisen, for discovering this event and creating a “New Holiday Tradition” for our Club.

Afterward we will be driving over to the High Point Library for a free selfie photo op with a sled and reindeer, weather permitting. We realize this is during the week and not everyone can make this event. Distance and work schedules are tricky, not to mention other holiday activities with families are booking up the weekends.
